Migrant Women & Children's Center opens in Cucuta, Colombia 

There are more than 27 million refugees worldwide and over 4 million of them are from Venezuela. NATAN is concerned for all refugees everywhere. We are pleased to report that our partners, CADENA have opened the Migrant Women's and Children's Center in Cucuta on the Colombia-Venezuela border. NATAN is proud to be an active partner in this project. This medical center, created in collaboration with the Colombian authorities, specializes in the needs of women and children refugees from Venezuela. Updates will follow.

Ukraine Operation in Figures 

Close to 5 million refugees have fled Ukraine since the Russian invasion on Feb. 24 of this year.  The vast majority of Ukrainian refugees who have reached other countries fled via Poland – most of them crossing the border at Medyka, near Przemysl, where NATAN’s teams are deployed.
More than 10,000 Ukrainian refugees have received medical care and psychosocial support from NATAN since the operation began. As of today, 109 volunteers have served in NATAN’s Ukraine Refugee Relief Operation.  11 delegations have deployed since the start of the operation.  Here’s a summary of the professions of volunteers in these delegations: 40 Doctors, 20 Registered Nurses, 28 Social Workers, 6 Psychologists, 1 Pharmacist, 1 Medical Clown, 1 Researcher, 1 Translator plus 11 Logistics Experts who served as Heads of Delegations. Summer Camp for Ukrainian Teens
NATAN  is now in preparations for a summer camp for Ukrainian teenagers. Polish teens will host Ukrainian teens at a summer camp in the Polish countryside.

Call for volunteers – NATAN is still recruiting volunteers who wish to join our operation on the Polish-Ukrainian border for a minimum of 2 weeks during July – August.

NATAN in Nepal 

From March until June, NATAN led the Women’s Health and Public Health Training Project in the Dudhauli region of Nepal. Five different training courses were successfully completed. NATAN experts provided training on Reproductive and Public Health, Advanced First Aid in Emergencies, and more.  125 health workers and 200 rural community workers participated in the courses. Mobile Dental Clinic - Israel

Dental Care for the Neediest in Israel – Every 2 weeks NATAN volunteer Dentists and Dental Assistants hold a dental care clinic at a shelter for women and youth at risk in Haifa.
